Safaricom launches an Mpesa App

Safaricom has launched a new app,solely for MPESA. The app seeks to resolve issues that usually arise when using the sim card for Mpesa transactions. One of the major ones being failure of a sim card to pick, especially if the phone has slots for more than one sim card.



The new M-PESA App makes it easier to transact on M-PESA. It  enables you to view your M-PESA balance in the home screen. The "Favorites" feature lets you save your most frequently used features so that they are just a click away. Frequently used contacts and till numbers are automatically displayed so that you can quickly find them to send money or make payments.



The App has a lot of features with great benefits;

Biometrics

The new App allows you to Login to the my M-PESA app conveniently and authenticate payments by scanning your fingerprint or face ID.


Send money easily

Send money by scanning a QR code, searching your phonebook or selecting from your frequent M-PESA contacts. You can also add contacts to your favorites list so you don’t have to search every time.

Pay Bills

Pay your bills easier by selecting from the popular M-PESA bills, scanning a QR code or by selecting from one of your favorite or frequent bills.


Buy Goods and services

Pay for your goods and services by manually inserting the till number, scanning a QR code or by selecting one of your favorite and frequent used tills.


Pay to Phone Number

This is a new payment service that allows customers to pay small businesses for their goods and services. 


Withdraw

Ever tried withdrawing money from yiu Moesa but suddenly the line just won't pick? You move to USSD code and still encounter a setback. At such moments you wished you had an alternative. The app comes as a great alternative. It allows you to withdraw money from your M-PESA at any agent or at selected bank ATMs.


Buy Airtime

The buy airtime feature didn't get left out. You can use the app to buy airtime conveniently with M-PESA for yourself or for your family and friends.


The App is currently available on Google Playstore.

THERE COULD BE A COUP BREWING IN TANZANIA

The rumour mill has been turning with the unconfirmed reports that President Pombe of Tanzania might be in for a brew stronger than what his name suggests,A COUP!!  It has been leaked that the "very Sick" Magufuli did not leave Tanzania, was not admitted at The Nairobi Hospital neither has he been flown to India for further treatment as reports had claimed earlier on. Contrary, it has been said that he has been in Tanzania all this while. A tweet from journalist and writer Charles Onyango-Obbo. It is said that the rumours about him being admitted at The Nairobi Hospital and then airlifted to India had been started by the Tanzanian Intelligence. It is reported that a transition is underway and that Magufuli might by Monday, 15th March 2021,find himself an ordinary citizen. Babu to Mwaura: Mzungu,heshimu president Uhuru.

The controversial Embakasi East MP, Babu Owino, has set out at Isaac Mwaura, guns blazing, cautioning him to ''respect" president Uhuru Kenyatta. Senator Mwaura irked a section on Uhuru's allies and Handshake adherents when he dared the powers that be by uttering what according to many, were statements against the president.
